so last fall i signed up to play on a co-ed soccer team only to play one game and find out we were pregnant with number four. since we have had some problems in the past my doctor thought it would be best for me to discontinue the soccer exploration, so i decided to postpone until...
i thought it would be fun and also be a good form of exercise for me as well. but really i wanted my kids to come to the games and get prepared for this spring. when i was younger i played just about any sport i could. i just couldn’t get enough with the exception of one - soccer. about all i know it that you can’t use your hands. this being said both of mine have been begging to play soccer. so since i had given up on trying to convince them of playing spring baseball/softball i thought i would learn myself. and i still plan on doing that maybe this fall or next spring.
both were signed up and have been super pumped about starting soccer until this week. they were both suppose to have practice for the past two weeks and both have gotten cancelled because of bad weather. no any other kids wouldn’t care but both of mine have been so nervous saying, “they needed more practice before they cold play a game.” to which i loving encouraged them, “everyone out there is learning guys. you will do great!”
and they did do great; however i didn’t realize the kids we would be playing with have all been playing together for several seasons already. no joke these kids are really good and mine had no clue where to even begin. but they both got out there and did great! i am so overwhelmingly proud of them!
colbie had a rough first half. a few tears and a lot of holding the coaches hand but then it got better. the second half i asked her to just try and get to the ball, either trying to kick it towards their goal or away from our goal. and she went out after half time and did an excellent job with what little she has learned already! way to go my little colbie pie!
please excuse the poor videography. this was done while trying to still hold.watch a toddler and keep an eye on the other child not playing at the time. maybe next game i’ll do better

this was the 1st half
grayson was also very nervous this morning even telling us on the way there he felt sick to his stomach. again i told him just try, that is all i ask. help your teammates and do the best you can. and he was great as well. his team has a few more players that are new so they are some what learning together but the team we played had all been together for 3 years. he rocked though!
