Party of 5!

So many things have change now.  We use to have one parent for each child - no longer true!  I use to have one hand for each kid in the parking lot - not so much these days.  I went from a mom of two with my beloved Trail Blazer to a mom of 3 with a Town and Country Mini Van.  Don't laugh about the van but now I am thinking "What the heck took us so long to make the switch?"  Yes REALLY, it is so much easier and more convenient.  Plus G thinks he is big stuff getting to sit all the way in the back!

In other news oh bright eyed new addition is simply perfect!  Just as nothing we ever do goes as planned neither did her arrival.  Due out on the 23rd she came on 11/11/11.  Apparently a very lucky day to be born -who knew?  So we are now a family of 5 and we are over the moon about it!

The Bigs enjoying their little sister already!

Our precious little girl we are all so in love with you already!  Big Sis can't wait to share her room, play babies, and cook in her kitchen with you.  There are many many things which she plans to share with you but one thing she has made very clear are hers and she WILL.NOT.SHARE are...her leg warmers of course!

A style all her own
Don't worry, you have your own leg warmers you have already sported!

Big Brother adores you too.  He has asked every morning if he can hold you before school and each night also.  He loves to sing to you and is convinced that your favorite song is either TwinkleTwinkle or A B C.  So you should know you ABCs by the time you are 1 at this rate!  We love you so much sweet girl and can't imagine our lives without you!

My cup overflows

Things around our house haven't been what I would call great this week but oh the things we have all learned!  As if everyday life with a 5 and 3 year old while being at the very end of pregnancy number 3 with our precious baby girl - who has yet to receive a name yet (stress in itself) isn't enough oh little yellow lab puppy was hit by a car this week.  Not sure it would have been so bad if the kids didn't see him - which could partial be my fault I admit.  Flash was let out to go to the bathroom and never returned home.  So the next morning I got the kids up early and ready for school and told them we would leave early and drive around and find Flash.  Normally we just roll the windows down and call his name and he comes running up to the car, not so much this time.  As we turned onto the main road by our house I saw the scene right away but thought if I drove by it fast enough the kids wouldn't see it.  Again, not so much!  Grayson saw him immediately and told me and Colbie what happened.  Of course he saw the dog and everything poor kid.  And then it happened the tears and screaming from both kids in the backseat - LOUD!  Which in turn prompted me and then I couldn't make it stop.  What the heck was wrong with me?  That morning was very rough for all of us.  I had to leave them both at school crying and then walk into work where I had a scheduled meeting with the "O's"  at work.  ( the CEO, CFO, etc)  So of course all traces of make up was gone and the eyes were nice and puffy by the time I walked in the the meeting.  Nice huh?  However that night it opened up the opportunity for some question and answer time from with the kids.  Question of course about our beloved Flash but we were able to relate most of them to God's love for us and heaven and what happens when people die.  It was so bittersweet to have such a special night with the kids about how Christ died for us and how christians are in heaven with Him as soon as they die.  Of course the night was still touch and go for us all.  They would get upset and then I would get upset and poor Jason was just trying to calm us all down.  It was just amazing how the situation was turned into such a teaching time for the kids.  It really showed me how I can turn more things into teaching if I allow myself to see God at work in my life and theirs!
