#4

well baby abel number four has finally arrived.  i have had high blood pressure off and on since a little over a month ago and when i went to my doctor on monday afternoon it was decided that since i would be 39 weeks on thur sdya we would go ahead and induce since the bp was still up.  so we were to be at the hospital at 6am on wednesday morning.  so i went home and got all the children taken care of as far as who would stay with them and get them to and from school, soccer, piano, and horseback lessons.  everything was good to go, so i thought.

throughout monday night i had contractions off and on but nothing huge and not really close enough to time.  then around 5am they started getting worse and closer together so i tried to keeo track of them but they would be close together and then nothing for 20 minutes, then close together again.  so i got back in bed and told jason we may need to callmy dad since his mom was working.  after another group of contractions he called my dad and i called the doctor.  the contraction were about every 9 minutes so i was told to go on in and let them check me.  jason as getting the kids ready while i was trying to breath through contractions only to realize that i had no clue how to breath calmly through them.  at 615 i called to jason that he needed to hurry up.  i said i didn't care if the kids had cloth on or p.j. we had to leave then.  i had already called my sil and brother and they were going to drop big g off at school.  then we called and told my dads work not to leave and come to our house we would just take the girls to the hospital and he could get them there. since he works at the hospital where we delievered i thought this would just save time - good thing we did this.  we enede up getting to the hospital about 710ish.

i had dropped off pre-registration paperwork monday while i was at my doctor appointment so it was much faster than normal, also a very good thing i did!  i got back to a triage room within about 5 minutes and having what i would call really bad contractions.  instead of hooking me up to monitors the checked me first -4cm already!
they moved me right to a delievery room and my doctor came in maybe 5 or so minutes later.  he checked me again and i was a 9, let's do this thing.  they had 5 or so nurses in the room trying to get things ready because nothing was set up at all.  i was suppose to get i.v. antibiotics before delievery - didn't happen.  i was suppose to get an epidural - didn't happen!  i was suppose to be induced the day - not gonna happen!  there was not time for anything really.  they got the i.v. and started fluids and antibiotics but he was here maybe 15 mintues later so they didn't consider that enough treatment for him prior to delievery.

that's right i got to the hospital a little after 710am and my dr. got there about 10 minutes later.  our little bundle of joy was here and accounted for by 807am!  one of the hardest and scariest things ever!

please be in prayer for us.  my blood pressure is still up.  they have started me on medicine to help lower it.  and the baby has to have labs again tomorrow morning to make sure he doesn't have any infection since he didn't get properly treated before he made his entrance.

i am so greatful to the Lord for watching over us and protecting us, and for getting us to the hospital in time so i didn't deliever on the side of Hwy 120!  we are o increadably blessed!

*sorry there are so many errors in this post.  trying to type it on a phone means i can only see like 2 sentences at a time*
for some reason trying to attach a picture to this isn't working right now so maybe i can add in some pics of our sweet granger later on.
