16 1/2 months and growing

sweet bug you are getting so big so quick and i know it will only go fast once baby brother is here.  you are starting to ‘talk’ more and more.  your new words for this month are:

bye-bye (very clear)

buh-buh (clear but also applies to your brother and sister right now too)

bea a.k.a bear (anything that may look like an animal)

baba a.k.a baby (also may apply to younger children)

*all of these pretty much sound the same and daddy can’t tell the difference yet but i know just what you mean*

while bea started out with us looking through a book about a little bear and i thought you were so stinking smart catching on that quick (and you are make no mistake about that!) it has also worked its way into all animals.  bunnies, dogs, cats, giraffes, etc.  while emma, our family dog, loves you beyond belief i’m not certain she appreciates being called ‘bea’ every time you see her.

in the same regard baba goes for all children under the age of about 4.  your most favorite baba is of course you!  you love to look at yourself in the mirror.  you talk to yourself in any mirror you pass.  hopefully this isn’t a sign to let me know you are going to have pride issues.  

you are growing in personality each day.  i love watching you com into your own right now.  you are such a little love bug.  you love to give hugs but never kisses (who want to spread germs anyways, right?)  and i cannot resist a hug from your little arms.  you love your brother and your sister but not your uncle josh.  you and see him coming and start crying before he even gets to you.  if he does something funny you might start to laugh but quickly stop not giving him the satisfaction of a good tickle or joke.  you are a whopping almost 21 pounds now.  as for clothes you are still wearing mostly 12 months with some 18 months mixed in.  but i see that changing very soon.  your all time favorite food right now is bananas.  you eat them 2 at a time at least!  seriously if someone picks you up and the kitchen is in sight you scream for them. :)  and of course i sing b-a-n-a-n-a-s every time we open one.  you are going to love gwen stefani when you get a little older , or you will be able to spell bananas by the time you are 18 months!
