i could say a year and a half but that makes you sounds way to old baby c. i cannot believe that you are 18 months old already. you are quickly becoming miss independent, unless i'm holding the baby and then of course you want right up in my lap with him. he is 2 weeks old and you are finally coming around to him. you are so sweet with him. you lay your head on his legs and while he eats just to show me you love him and can "be sweet" to him. then you promptly throw something to show me your little 18 month old self. you are so sweet for the most part though.
you are growing so much. i swear we left for the hospital to have a baby and you were my baby, and then when we got home you seemed like you had grown 4 inches and aged 3 years in the few days we had been gone! you are talking more and more each day. i love it when i hear your big brother and big sister trying to teach you new words. my favorite is when i hear their sweet southern twang come out, like when they try to get you to say words like 'well'. while they do know the difference in meaning make no mistake there is no difference in the way they say 'well' (be it something good or a thing you fetch water from) and 'whale'! oh how they love to take you places and get you things and toys. really they do, so much so that you never have to talk or ask for anything - and you won't.
after 5 or 6 ear infections since january i took you to the ent this week and he gave us the go ahead to put tubes in before we get another ear infection. since we finished an antibiotic on tuesday and before tuesday night you had green snot again he also gave us a stronger antibiotic to knock out whatever that may be going on in that button nose of your too. are we the only ones lucky enough to have back to back to back to back infections that we can’t seem to shake? you have been an excellent trooper through them all too! only really getting in a bad mood when your fever is high. of course the tugging at your ears is a constant at this point. hopefully soon it will be better precious one.
you have had so many really bad diaper rashes that just won’t seem to go away also, so we just started cloth diapers. they are helping so much i never would have believed it! it’s a small inconvenience to pay so that your bottom will be rash free. other than those you wear size 5 diapers at nap and night time. you are eating almost anything you can get your hands on which includes all the things your bigs leave out and within your grasp. your absolute favorite is bananas still. you will, if i give in and let you, eat as many as 4 to 6 a day. seriously can you say stomach ache? hotdogs are another one of your favorites. and by hotdogs i mean the real deal. we have gotten the hebrew international and you won’t touch them. you prefer the oscar myer variety full of pig lips and who knows what else. and pawpaw has gotten you hooked on yoo-hoo! you love them as well as capri-suns!
i could go on oand on about how much you are changing and growing each day. you are becoming a toddler in every way including the tantrums you are beginning to throw. while i nurse baby g you love to throw all the clean laundry i’ve folded onto the floor as well as dump out and toss every toy in the toy bucket all over the living room. so we clean those up at least six or so times a day, but who’s counting (other than me)?
