This morning was full of special little things for me. I woke up late, still had to take a shower and get ready. Managed to do that and get the kids up, fed, dressed, and lunches packed (thanks to my adoring hubby for making PB & Js)! However I couldn't find any of my brushes so I manged to comb out at least the top layer of my hair with Colbie's comb so that while back in a ponytail it looks somewhat together.
Then I had to stop for gas on the way to school. I hate doing this with my kids number one because I don't want to get the out of the car and the second being that they always ask for some sort of snack. And we all know that since I do hold the crown for mom of the year I have to give in to their "needs", right? So I managed to get gas and all without a mention of any request. Then I had to run in for bottle of water and diet coke so there is came....."Can we please have a snack, we're hungry?" Okay but I'm running in and out really fast ya'll can stay right here for two minutes. **Please keep in mind I never do this but felt that since there were no others cars and I was only runing in and out I'd lock the doors and they'd be fine. I mean my windows are tinted and no one can see them. With grocerys gathered and gas paid for I walked out of the gas station door and then my heart sank and I thought I'd throw up. Grayson's car door was open. What the heck? I ran over to the car and of course he was is there and Colbie Via too but seriously I felt like I had been hit by a truck. Never, I repeat NEVER again will that ever happen. As i hugged and kissed him and explained why his door was locked and that I will never ever do that again - no matter what the reason he proceeded to explain why his door was open.
"I opened my door so me and Colbie has some cross air (cross ventelation) and we didn't die."
When we are all together and Jason is pumping the gas I often times tell him to leave his door open and open mine as well so we have...you got it cross venetaltion. So now we know he does listin sometimes anyways.
The morning was topped off by this though. Amide all the crazy stuff that went on earlier this morning when we got to school I pulled off to the side to "our prayer spot". Each morning we pull off just before I drop them off and we all pray for the day, for Colbie Via, Grayson, mommy, daddy, good choices, that we would be a good example for others, etc. Well this morning as I pulled over and was about to start praying Grayson said, "No, no I want to pray!" And he did he prayed for all of our normal stuff and even added in a prayer for someone, his P.E. teacher, from his school who has kidney stones. Still not sure if it was for the teacher or just an effort to get P.E. another day this week.
What an amazing young man he is growing into!!!

That is the sweetest thing ever! He's so big. You're not the only one who's locked the kids in the car for a quick run-in somewhere. I unhook my keyless remote and leave the car running with a movie and A/C. Guess I should think twice about that now, huh? Oh, and I've decided you need to post more. I follow only so many blogs and you're definitely not keeping up with my need to read! :)
